The issue also includes other undeclared ingredients, such as Yellow 5, Artificial Flavor, Tomato Powder, other Artificial Color (including Yellow 6 and Red 40), Lactic Acid, Citric Acid and Red and Green Bell Pepper Powder.
"The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a select number of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos tortilla chip bags were inadvertently filled with Nacho Cheese Doritos tortilla chips at one of the company's production facilities," Frito-Lay said.
The recall applies to all sizes of Jalapeño Flavored Lay’s Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie’s Kettle Cooked potato chips with the “guaranteed fresh” date of or before July 4.
No other flavors of Lay’s Kettle Cooked or Miss Vickie’s potato chips fall under the recall.
The good news is there are no cases of illness reported thus far, according to the FDA.
